Ghana’s Black Stars ‘B’ defeated their Nigeria counterparts by 4-1 to win the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations hosted by Ghana in Cape Coast.

Two goals from Stephen Sarfo one each from Vincent Atigah and Winful Cobbinah saw the Black Stars ‘B’ win the sub regional tournament in grand style

Ghana put up a spirited performance on the night to thrash Nigeria by this huge scoreline in the finale to defend the title they worn in 2013.

A classic thunderbolt of a shot from Stephan Sarfo in a goal mouth melee in the 43rd minute saw Ghana open the flood gates with just two minutes to end the first half.

The Black Stars resumed the second half with a different game plan to pile excessive  pressure on the  CHAN Eagles which yielded another goal through a sport  kick courtesy slippery substitute Patrick Razak in the 58th minute which expectedly taken by defender Vincent Atingah.

The CHAN Eagles couldn’t stand the swiftness of Patrick Razak so was whacked again the 18-yard box for another penalty which was this time converted by Stephan Sarfo to increase Ghana’s tally to three and a personal two on the night

Winful Cobinah sealed Ghana’s fourth in the 93rd minute following a goalmouth scramble inside the box

Nigeria did find some consolation with a goal of their own courtesy of a 22-yard free-kick from Rabiu Ali which found the top corner of the net, but it was too little too late as the game ended 4-1.
