Nigeria is facing fuel shortage forcing consumers to form long queues to buy fuel for their daily activities.

On Sunday the country’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo visited Lagos for Christmas and made surprise visits to two petrol stations at the Lekki-Ajah Expressway.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that Osinbajo helped out to dispense petrol to some motorists.

He was accompanied by minister of state for petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu. The vice president also discussed with owners of the stations he visited issues relating to the fuel crisis and consoled some Nigerians in the queue.

He also assured that the government is working hard to rectify the crisis.
