Bomb attack kills 2 in Cameroon Mosque

A suicide bomb attack in a mosque in northern Cameroon on Monday killed two people.

The attack was blamed on Nigeria’s Boko Haram militants who have in the past carried out similar attacks in this region.

The AFP quoted a security official who said that “A suicide bomber blew himself up this morning in a mosque in Kerawa.”

The location of the attack is on the border with Nigeria.

The AFP source said “Two civilians and the bomber were killed.”

The attack according to an eyewitness took place shortly after morning prayers, when the mosque was relatively empty.

Hundreds of Cameroonians have been displaced due to the insurgency from Boko Haram which thousands dieing.

Boko Haram attacks have wreaked havoc in Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger and Chad.
