Police officers in Ghana are reported to be renting weapons to armed robbers for criminal activities.

Three Police officers have been arrested for the alleged renting of their guns to criminals.

Local media reported that the officers operating in Southern Accra rented out their weapons to some armed robbers for an operation over the weekend.

The robbers who had used the weapons of the police officers were arrested following an accident they were involved in.

The police commander for Ghana’s capital, Accra, George Alex Mensah told Starr FM that the issue is currently under investigations.
