Statue of Mo Salah unveiled in Egypt

A statute of Egyptian footballer, Mohamed Salah has been unveiled in the north African country.

The statute was put up by Egyptian sculptor Mai Abdel Allah.

The unveiling of the statue was done at the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh.

The Liverpool striker is considered a hero by many back in Egypt.

Salah scored the penalty that took his country to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He also played a key role in his club Liverpool reaching the Champions league final this year.

Injury to Salah affected his performance for both club and country in both competitions.

He was also nominated for the Fifa Best awards and was among the final three candidates for the prize.

 

Liverpool not expecting Salah to score many goals
