Staff of Ghana’s Civil Aviation Authority have laid down their tools.
They are protesting encroachment on lands belonging to the authority which they claim is affecting their operations.
The strike follows a recent ultimatum issued by the workers for their concerns to be addressed or be forced to embark on strike.
Some domestic airlines have cancelled flights as a result of the strike.
Ghana’s Ministers of Aviation, Interior and Employment were reported to have engaged in series of meetings on Wednesday with the striking airport workers to convince them to resume work.
But the workers insist on signing an MOU before suspending the strike.
