Many Nigerian students have been attacked in a Delhi suburb of India. The students were beaten in a follow up to agitations over  the death of a 19-year-old student.

Local media in India reported that the student died from drug overdose which the aggrieved Indians blamed on the Nigerian Community in the area.

They accuse the Nigerians of supplying the drugs but police have not been able to confirm claims that the 19-year old Indian died from drug overdose.

Some Nigerians who were shopping in Greater Noida, a town in Uttar Pradesh state were attacked by a mob.
