BEYONCE and Jay-Z have shared the first image of their new born twins Sir Carter and Rumi.

In a glorious picture that is very typically Beyoncé, the new mum held her son and daughter in her arms, as she stood naked with a large purple, blue and pink sheet draped over her, and a light blue veil.

Echoing the floral theme on her pregnancy announcement shoot, the 35-year-old had a gazebo, lush green grass and topiary, and the sea in the background.

She captioned the image: “Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today. ??❤️??????????”

Within minutes the image had clocked up 1.5 million ‘likes’ and thousands of comments congratulating the couple on their “so beautiful” babies.

One fan wrote: “So beautiful!!!!! God bless ?????”

Another gushed: “I can’t take it ?????❤️❤️❤️”

And a third frantically typed: “WHY AM I CRYING AT THIS PICTURE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!! THIS IS TRUE STAN BEHAVIOUR I CANT BREATHE. MY CHEST HURTSSSS”

Not only is this the first sighting on the couples’ twins, the picture also confirmed the babies’ names after it was claimed that the little girl had been named Rumi, and the boy Sir Carter – monikers which the singer reportedly trademarked.

As was their date of birth – June 14, which many fans believed was the day they were born after Bey was seen leaving her mansion and security at her local hospital, her father Matthew confirmed the twins’ arrival on June 18.

While mum and babies look glowing and healthy now, giving birth wasn’t all plain sailing for the star.

A source told TMZ the superstar singer did not carry out her pregnancy to full-term and so the newborn babies were being kept “under the lights”.

Bili lights is a form of phototherapy which is designed to eliminate high levels of bilirubin in the blood.

This could mean the twins had jaundice – a term used to describe the yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes, and is especially common in premature babies.

The couple are parents to daughter Blue Ivy, five, and thrilled fans by sharing an array of beautiful family and pregnancy pictures, over the past few months.

While Bey’s announcement became the “most-liked” Instagram picture ever , drawing in eight million “likes” within 24 hours, other family snaps and videos she shared sent fans into meltdown, as they believed the colour theme was a secret message that they were expecting a son and daughter.
