The President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni has said that he does not fear death and expects to die one day but like Jesus Christ, he would resurrect.

Mr. Museveni who is a Christian said the resurrection of Jesus Christ proves that he can also rise from death, according to The Daily Monitor.

He told a gathering of Christians at a Stadium in Lira Town on Saturday that “We are now all Christians. Why? Because Jesus came, was crucified and he was buried but he resurrected. When he resurrected, he gave all us of hope that we shall also resurrect,”

The longest serving leader of Uganda said “If there is no resurrection, there is no Christianity. I have not yet died and resurrected but I hope I will (die and resurrect), because I am a Christian.”

Mr Museveni supported argument by reading the book of 1 Corinthians 15: 26 in the Bible, which says: “The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.”

The Ugandan President in October this year urged Ugandans to spend more time working, not praying.

The president said the mission of mankind on earth was to work and invent ideas and solutions to help them have dominion over all creatures.

He said he hates the helpless approach of people, spending days and nights “praying…praying and shouting as if God is deaf,” while ignoring the fundamental role of dominion over nature.
