Two soldiers in Tunisia have been killed in a military plane crash on Monday while undertaking night training exercise.

Tunisia’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Belhassen al-Waslati told journalists that the plane crashed during a night training exercise near an airbase in Sfax city.

The governor of the state where the incident occurred visited the scene of the accident and told Tunisia’s state TAP news agency in a statement that the situation is under investigation.

“The plane fell down during a night training exercise, according to preliminary data” the official is quoted as saying.
