Mozambique airline cancels flights, board dissolved

Mozambique’s national airline, LAM has canceled all flights this week.

The airline has been hit by financial challenges making it difficult for it to operate efficiently.

The country’s Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosario was left stranded after the airline failed to pay for fuel to operate.

The company’s board has now been dissolved for the crisis at the national carrier.

The airline is State-controlled and the government has assured it is working hard to resume normal flight operations on Friday.

The government has decided to intervene to address the financial crisis.

Mozambique which is in Southern Africa has challenges with security due to series of killings in recent times.

The killing in the northern part of the country has made it difficult for some energy firms to operate.
