Accra to host Germany-Ghana investor forum

The Forum will be held simultaneously in Accra and Berlin. It will help introduce German investors to investment opportunities in Ghana.

About hundred German Investors are due to explore business avenues with their Ghanaian counterparts in Accra on Thursday.

The Germany-Ghana investor forum is part of the G20 Compact with Africa initiative.

A statement from the organizers of the forum said the “Accra-Berlin conference will focus on three thematic industrial areas – Automotive Industry, Agriculture and Financial Technology.”

Ministers in charge of the sectors mentioned as well as industry players from Germany and Ghana will “give keynote speeches at the Forum, which will showcase more than 100 German companies seeking to invest in Ghana.”

The Forum will be held simultaneously in Accra and Berlin. It will help introduce German investors to investment opportunities in Ghana.

The forum should also facilitate “a dialogue between the German private sector and Ghanaian public and private sector stakeholders.”

Thursdays conference comes barely two months after the visit of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the Ghanaian Capital Accra.

The Forum is also taking place just a few weeks before the Heads of State meeting in Berlin on the Compact with Africa.
