Kenya: Single mother advertises for husband

A single mother in Kenya has gone to the the streets of the country’s capital, Nairobi, advertising for a husband, according to the BBC.

The woman is seen in a picture holding a huge banner searching for a husband.

The banner had inscriptions that read ”Need For A Husband, I Have a Girl Child Seven Years Old.”

The 28-year-old mother-of-one Pris Nyambura is dressed in a white dress wrote on her banner that she has a girl child of seven years.

She added her contact to the ads on the banner hoping to find a husband.

In most African countries, it is difficult for single parents to take care of their children without a well-paid job.

Getting a spouse or partner is significant as a social status and a means to reduce the level economic burden that comes with taking care of children.
