The Vice President of Liberia, Jewel Howard Taylor has pleaded for forgiveness from her boss, President George Weah.

Taylor made the apology after traveling out of the country without informing him.

The former wife of the country’s ex-leader, Charles Taylor offered the apology on live TV, according to local media New Dawn.

New Dawn also reported that Howard Taylor conceded that there has been strained relationship between her and President Weah for some time now.

Vice President Taylor claimed that the disagreement between her and President Taylor is as a result of her constant travels out of the country.

George Weah has declared his intention to fight corruption and rebuild the country’s economy after winning the 2017 elections.

He beat then vice president, Joseph Boakai in a presidential run-off securing over 60 percent of votes.

Becoming the country’s 25th President, President Weah has the task of rebuilding Liberia which is recovering from decades of civil war over 12 years ago.

The country has struggled under Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to make major strides.
