Popular Nigerian Instagram star, Raymond Igbalodely also known as Hushpuppi has been arrested by Dubai’s police force on allegations of fraud amounting to $435m.
He was arrested in a well coordinated operation called “Fox Hunt 2” by police in Dubai.
Hushpuppi was arrested alongside 12 other people in six simultaneous raids in Dubai, according to police.
The Nigerian is based in Dubai and touted his supposed wealth all over social media, claiming he got them through successful businesses.
But he is accused of defrauding nearly two million people from different parts of the world.
Dubai officials have published video documenting their four-month investigation that led to the arrests.

Police revealed that they discovered a massive online fraud network operated by the star together with his team.
They undertake the fraudulent acts outside the UAE. Those crimes include money-laundering, cyber fraud, hacking, criminal impersonation, banking fraud and identity theft.
Hushpuppi and those arrested are accused of hacking corporate emails and cloning websites to redirect payments to their own accounts.
They are yet to be charged by police in Dubai police after their arrests.
