Ghana’s Science University builds solar-powered vehicle

Ghana’s Science and Technology University called the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has built a solar-powered 4×4 vehicle.

Ghana’s News Agency reported that the construction was supported by the Technical University of Munich.

The vehicle is developed by the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Physics should boost Ghana’s quest to build an active automobile industry.

The solar-powered car is meant to carry passengers and goods and is still being tested to bring it to standard.

The University is hoping this succeeds and will make the car the first solar-powered 4×4 vehicle to be manufactured in Africa.
