Heavy storms in Johannesburg in South Africa have killed two people and displaced over 30 more.

The Johannesburg City’s emergency services confirmed on Sunday that in Lenasia “two or three trees fell on a bakkie”.

The Johannesburg Emergency Medical Services (EMS) spokesperson Nana Radebe is reported by News24 to have said that the two men who died were found dead in a vehicle.

Radebe said his outfit is now assessing houses damaged in the heavy storms which started on Saturday.
