Kenyan officials have deported a Chinese businessman for using using racist words to describe the country’s President.

The Chinese man posted a video of him on social media calling President Kenyatta a ‘monkey’ among other racist remarks.

The video which was widely shared on social media was considered offensive by the government.

The Chinese man, identified as Liu Jiaqi said in the two and a half minute video that “Every one, every Kenyan… like a monkey, even Uhuru Kenyatta. All of them”.

He was reportedly having a dispute with one of his employees when he uttered such slurs. His employee then suggested that Liu goes “back to China”.

The businessman then responded with further abuse. “I don’t belong to here. I don’t like here, like monkey people, I don’t like talk with them, it smells bad, and poor, and foolish, and black. I don’t like them. Why not [like] the white people, like the American?” he said

He was arrested on Thursday and deported. Kenya’s immigration department said on Thursday that the Chinese man’s “work permit has been canceled and (he) will be deported on racism grounds”.
