[Video]: ‘Quack doctors’ in Ghana selling fake Covid-19 cure exposed

Ghanaian undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has released his latest investigative piece that exposes some quack doctors selling fake Covid-19 cure.

The investigation which was carried out in collaboration with the BBC shows how these conmen have been exploiting the coronavirus pandemic to make money.

They sell these untested and fake drugs to unsuspecting clients who are then further exposed to health danger.

According to Anas Aremeyaw Anas the Covid-19 scam is worth thousands of dollars.

There are many herbal drug producers in the country who have claimed to have cure for the virus.

Such claims are all over Africa with some unscrupulous persons exploiting innocent and desperate individuals.

The World Health Organization has always cautioned people to avoid consuming drugs that are yet to be tested and proven to be effective in curing Coronavirus.

Ghana has so far recorded nearly 17,000 cases of coronavirus with over 100 deaths.

In Africa there are over 380,000 confirmed COVID19 cases – with more than 181,000 recoveries & 9,500 deaths.
