Ghana and South Africa have announced that they have agreed to a visa-free regime that covers citizens from both countries.

This means ordinary passport holders from both countries can transit through, depart from and stay in the territory of both countries for a cumulative period of 90 days.

A statement from the Ghanaian authorities said, travelers however cannot resort to working under this agreement during their stay in both countries for the 90 days.

The new agreement covers all passport holders including those with ordinary passports.
