Many Zanu-PF supporters are reported to have abandoned a rally that was attended by their presidential candidate, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The rally which was held on Friday in Mutare, east of the capital Harare was to be addressed by the Zimbabwean President.

Local media reports that even before Mnangagwa had the chance to address the supporters scores of them started walking out.

Deputy President, Constantino Chiwenga was reported to have asked the supporters to remain seated since his boss had not addressed them yet.

Chiwenga was heard saying “Your buses and trains are not going as yet; your transport is still here. So please, do not leave the venue as yet,”
