Southern African Development Community (Sadc), a regional bloc representing 16 nations has said that nearly 45 million people in the region risk going hungry.
It also said eight million are predicted to become acutely malnourished this year.
The regional bloc said this rick is due to drought, floods and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
