Top Judges in Kenya on Wednesday denied media reports that they lack adequate security and have been refused a request for improved security.
Reuters had reported that a judicial source in Kenya had claimed that the judges had a request for additional security rejected by the government.
This follows last week’s attack on the bodyguard of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu.
The judiciary in a statement, said “The Office of the Chief Justice wishes to state that this report is untrue.”
“To the contrary, the Inspector General of Police has in fact enhanced the security of Supreme Court judges,” the statement added.

Kenya’s Supreme Court in September annulled the August 8 presidential election results due to irregularities.
The top court ordered fresh poll which was held on October 26 despite opposition boycott and series of violent protests.
