Some Nigerians residing in Ghana have picketed at the Nigerian High Commission in Accra.
They are demanding an end to what they call police brutalities against civilians in Nigeria.
The Nigerians carried placards asking the Nigerian government to sit up and end the brutalities.
It took the intervention of Ghanaian security officers to end the protest.
Tuesday’s protest coincides with the sixth day of demonstrations in Nigeria against police brutalities which have so far claimed ten lives.
The protests have been sparked by a video of a man being beaten by officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
Members of the SARS have been implicated in several cases of human rights abuses including extra-judicial killings.
The protesters are sceptical about assurances from the Nigerian government for the unit to be disbanded.
