Unidentified men have picked up a university student in Zimbabwe for protesting against President Robert Mugabe at a graduation ceremony.

The student, Advance Musoke waved a placard calling for Mr. Mugabe’s resignation. The protest was supported by other students at the National University of Science and Technology in Bulawayo, Southern Zimbabwe.

In recent times Mr. Mugabe’s government has been struggling to contain series of protests against the state of the country’s economy which is in crisis.

A student at the University of Zimbabwe was arrested in September for similar protest and was charged “with causing public disorder”.

President Mugabe is the chancellor of all state universities in Zimbabwe.
