One person has died with twenty others reported to have sustained injuries in a plane crash in South Africa on Tuesday.
Emergency services officials were at the scene of the crash in Pretoria to attend to those injured.
The plane is said to have crashed near Moloto road next to the Wonderboom airport.
It is still unclear what caused the crash.
Emergency Medical service confirmed the incident on twitter showing pictures of it.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the injuries of the victims “range from minor to critical”.
How it happened
A man who works at the airport told Eye Witness News in South Africa that “I saw the aircraft coming through and there was a big cloud of black smoke behind them.
Apparently, there was an engine failure. I saw it coming at a low level, trying to turn towards the runway.”
Another person was also quoted saying “I just saw something dropping down from the sky, but I didn’t know what it was, and the next thing I saw an explosion and a big bang.”
