Six people are reported to have died in a train accident in Morocco on Tuesday.

Some 85 people also sustained injuries in the train derailment near the capital Rabat, railway officials said.

Local media reports that the accident happened in Sidi Bouknadel, a town near Rabat.

There were earlier reports of two trains colliding but that has been rejected by officials.

Moroccans have been sharing pictures and videos showing the scenes of devastation from the crash site.
