Ghanaian officials have granted bail to a web designer and owner of the pornsite, empress leak who was arrested this month over pornography activities on the internet.

Anderson Ofosuhene Anim also known as Morio Gee appeared before court on Wednesday and admitted to bail in the sum of $51,000 (¢300,000) with two sureties to be justified with landed property.

According to prosecutors, the accused allegedly collects monies from people whose leaked naked videos and pictures had been uploaded to his site.

Although he promises to pull down the pictures and videos, he reneges on that despite collecting the monies.

The suspects operates the porn site www.empressleak.biz from the eastern part of Ghana.

Empress leak, is a website known for the publication of child pornographic and adult sexual content.

Prosecutors are holding him on charges of child pornography, publication of obscene materials and cybercrime and money laundering.

In court the prosecution said Anim invested proceeds of the crime into purchasing of houses and vehicles.

Police said they are also investigating some of his accomplices who take nude videos and pictures of victims and send the same to him.
