Voting is underway across over 38,000 polling stations in Ghana as voters elect a new president and 275 lawmakers.
Voting started at 7am local time and is expected to end at 5pm local time with reports of delays at some centres.

Generally the votes have been conducted in a peaceful atmosphere with officials and voters observing safety protocols due to the coronavirus pandemic.
There are over 17 million registered voters expected to cast their ballot in this year’s elections.
12 candidates are contesting for president but the two leading candidates are the incumbent, Nana Akufo-Addo and the former president, John Mahama.
This is the third time the two leading candidates are going head-to-head with each coming out successful once.
If no candidate in the presidential election secures 50 percent plus one votes, there would be a run-off between the first two candidates.
The electoral commission has promised to declare results within 24 hours.
