Liberians are puzzled by a new song released by their president, George Weah which talks about liars.
The song titled “Mr Liar Man” is the fourth song released by the former footballer-turned politician.
George Weah is a part time musician this latest song sung in a reggae style seems to puzzle many as they wonder who he is talking about.
Some of the lyrics include “In my own country, they’re trying to track me down for what I don’t know… But Mr Liar Man, you know I did not do the things you say I do.”
As citizens continue to search for this “Mr. Liar” some political observers and local media say the president might be hitting back at a former state official.
It is believed he may be referring to an official who worked for the state radio who was recently sacked after he criticised how Mr Weah was running the country in a Facebook post.
The president’s office and supporters have repeatedly denied and rubbished the allegations.
But the search for Who is Mr Liar Man continues with the latest song.
Mr. Weah has a number of songs to his credit and in the early 2000s he composed a song with fellow African footballers playing in Europe about love and unity in Africa.
In 2014 he also collaborated with Ghanaian artist Sidney in a song raising awareness about Ebola as the virus was spreading fast in West Africa.
