A British MP, Neil Parish has announced he will be resigning as an MP after admitting he watched pornography twice in Parliament.

He told the BBC that the act had been a “moment of madness”.

According to the MP who has represented Tiverton and Honiton in Devon since 2010 the first time he watched porn in parliament it was accidental after looking at a tractor website.

But Parish said the second time when he watched porn- in the House of Commons it was deliberate.

Two female MPs said they had seen him watching porn on his phone while sitting near them.

The Conservative Party which he belongs to on Friday suspended him over the allegations.

Mr Parish told BBC South West that “The situation was that funnily enough, it was tractors I was looking at.

“I did get into another website that had a very similar name and I watched it for a bit, which I shouldn’t have done.

“But my crime – biggest crime – is that on another occasion I went in a second time.”

On watching porn the second time which was deliberate in the House of Commons, the MP said he did so while sitting and waiting to vote.

It “was absolutely totally wrong” he said adding that “I will have to live with this for the rest of my life. I made a huge terrible mistake and I’m here to tell the world.”

“I was wrong, I was stupid, I lost sense of mind,” Parish said but he denied watching porn in a way where he hoped other people would see it.

In the BBC interview he said “I make a full apology. A total full apology. It was not my intention to intimidate.”

Women watch porn, too — but why?
