A man in Ghana has done the unthinkable by defecating at the seat of government.

The unidentified man has been captured by a camera hiding behind a reservoir around the Presidency in Ghana’s capital Accra to answer nature’s call.

A picture of the man has gone viral showing him squatting on a polythene bag to defecate.

It’s unclear if he was seen by the presidential guards and what action was subsequently taken.

This will not be the first time the Jubilee House has been desecrated in such a manner.

The man who reportedly took the picture said on twitter that the “Man just walked behind the ‘reservoir’ pulled a black rubber then proceeded to take a shit, right by the Flagstaff House.

This might be the wildest thing I’ve seen in Gh, and I’ve seen a lot”

Earlier this year, another unidentified person dumped refuse right in front of the seat of government.

Outrage of Ghanaians

Many Ghanaians have taken to social media to express their anger over the incident.

Ghana is among the worst countries in the world when it comes to access to improved basic sanitation.

Many houses across the country are without toilets. To have houses built without toilet facilities means residents have to find options outside their homes to defecate.

With little options available many of them defecate in the open, in drains and along beaches.

An estimated 5.7 million people according to findings from global NGO, Water Aid engage in open defecation due to lack of toilets.
