The acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission in Nigeria, Daniel Pondei collapsed while being questioned by lawmakers on Monday.
Pondei was facing the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission.
Lawmakers were asking him questions about the spending of the commission since he took over.
He had answered questions for 45 minutes only to faint in the course of the inquiry over illegal spending and mismanagement.
Video of him collapsing has gone viral on social media with Nigerians left in a state of shock.

Pondei was rushed out for medical attention but one of the officials of the commission stayed back to continue the hearing.
